Ancient Faith in the Upper Cumberland

Welcome to Upper Cumberland Anglican Fellowship. We are a growing Anglican congregation in Cookeville, seeking to worship Christ through the ancient rhythms of Scripture, Sacrament, and Prayer. Rooted in the historic Christian faith and committed to serving our community, we desire to be a place where people can encounter God, grow in discipleship, and find fellowship in Christ. Whether you are exploring Anglicanism for the first time or have worshiped in this tradition for years, you are warmly welcome.

What to Expect

Our worship follows a historic Anglican liturgy rooted in Scripture, prayer, and Holy Communion. You will hear readings from the Bible, join in common prayers, sing hymns, confess the faith through the ancient creeds, and hear a sermon centered on God's Word.

While our worship is reverent and structured, our community is warm and welcoming. Whether you are exploring Christianity for the first time, coming from another church tradition, or have been Anglican for years, you are welcome here.

Dress is typically somewhere between casual and Sunday best. Some people wear collared shirts or dresses, while others come in jeans and casual attire. Please don't feel pressured to dress a certain way—come as you are and join us in worship.

If you've never attended a liturgical church before, don't worry. We provide guidance throughout the service, and no prior experience is necessary.

Roots of Faith

Anglicanism is a historic and biblical expression of Christian faith. We seek to worship God through Scripture, prayer, and Holy Communion, following a pattern of worship shaped by Christians across the centuries. Anglican churches treasure the faith of the ancient Church while remaining committed to the authority of God's Word.

Our Mission

Faithfully Planting. Patiently Building.

Upper Cumberland Anglican Fellowship exists to worship Jesus Christ, make disciples, and establish a faithful Anglican parish in the Upper Cumberland region. As a developing congregation, we are working toward becoming a fully established parish within the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) and the Anglican Diocese of the South rooted in Scripture, shaped by historic Christian worship, and centered on Word and Sacrament. We seek to cultivate a community where people can grow in faith, support one another, serve their neighbors, and encounter the transforming grace of God through the life of the Church.
